Still road tripping back to San Antonio, where I’ll wait out the rest of my temporary homelessness before I can move into my new place in Austin. I spent yesterday in Oklahoma City, which, when the Spurs aren’t playing the Thunder, turns out to be a lovely town. Here are some pictures.

After spending the Fourth of July with friends in lovely Madison, I had originally planned to head back to Iowa City today.
…yeah. I’m going to spend an extra day in Wisconsin. I just hope, as the radar over Iowa has looked like this or worse for a significant part of the last week, that my house hasn’t moved downstream from where I saw it last.
And it was quite nice there. I went to my first World Fantasy convention, got to spend time with many friends, old and new, and see some very beautiful things. It was a long trip, and I was more invested in living in the moment than noting down what I was doing, so I don’t even know if I can even retrieve from jumbled memory enough information to put together something like a con report. But I had a fabulous time. The regular irregular blog service will now resume.
Storms over New Jersey kept me from getting home last night as originally planned. I should end up getting into San Antonio around 9:00 pm. The story of my (pretty damn awesome) first Worldcon will have to wait until after I’m home, showered, and wearing clean clothes.
